I’m Lauren Livingston, a Mastered Executive Coach and the Founder of Compass Leading, the home for bespoke leadership coaching and development.
I coach internationally with senior professionals and high-potential leaders supporting you to step into new levels of your authentic leadership potential.
I have “walked the walk” and intimately understand the intricacies of being a modern, global leader.
For nearly a decade, I served as the longest-standing and first female General Counsel of CVC Capital Partners, a global private equity powerhouse. In fact, throughout my two decades as a city lawyer, I served as a trusted adviser to boards, partnerships, and corporates in the ever-evolving and demanding landscape of financial services and private equity.
As a result, I have lived leadership experience to draw upon from how to navigate the changing demands of a “big job” to how to unleash and champion the potential in others in a collaborative and empowering way.

I am a graduate, with Distinction, of the Meyler Campbell “Mastered” programme.
Meyler Campbell is a world-renowned executive coach training and leadership development community and Mastered is the gold standard for coach training in the U.K. The Mastered course is modelled on the Oxbridge system and comprises a series of tutorials that mix taught content with hours of independent coaching practice, observation, feedback, and evaluated written work to a rigorous academic standard. It takes around 12 months to complete. The Meyler Campbell Mastered programme has been awarded the European Quality Award (EQA), as conferred by the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC), and is accredited by the Association for Coaching (AC). Meyler Campbell is also a Gold Sponsor of the Institute of Coaching (IoC) at McLean Hospital, a Harvard Medical School affiliate.

Yes! A bit like it’s hard to give yourself a really great haircut, it’s very hard to see and think your way out of your own challenges. Coaching has been one of my secret tools to career success.
I have worked with several executive coaches throughout my career, particularly during times of change or expansion. I currently attend regular 1 to 1 supervision with a qualified and accredited coaching supervisor (who is herself a highly experienced executive coach) working to the professional standards that have been developed through the Association for Coaching, the International Coaching Federation, and the European Council for Coaching and Mentoring.
I have professional liability & indemnity insurance for coaching, training, education, and development with Oxygen underwritten by Hiscox Insurance Company Limited.
